December went much better than I had hoped, and I ended up writing 14,359 words! Which means I finally managed to write more than the 12,500 words a month that I signed up to write. The only other month I managed that was August during the August Fic-A-Day.

In November I wrote 1,888 words. My word count dropped again, despite the last minute writing I did.

Writing 150K words in 2021 clearly isn't happening. *sigh* At this point I would be happy if I managed to write the minimum of 12,500 I'm supposed to write per month in December. So far, the only month I've managed that was August.

Another basic update, this time for October.

October went a little better, when I clocked in at 2,823 words. It's still way below the 12,500 I should've written, but progress? My total word count as of November first was 51,410, which meant I just managed to pass the 1/3 mark of my Pledge.

Apparently, I have completely forgotten about these posts the last few months, so just a quick, basic update.

I only wrote 738 words in September, which is my third lowest wordcount of 2021. *sigh* It put my wordcount at 48,587 rather than the 112,500 it should've been. Which means I was 63,913 words behind.

August definitely made a huge difference for my word count and I ended up writing 36,975 words! It puts my YTD at 47,849. I really, really love the August Fic-A-Day, and not just because it always boosts my word count but because it produces a lot of interesting Buffyverse crossovers.

July was a better writing month than June and I ended up writing 1,518 words. Which is a lot less than I should've written, but slightly better than last month. It puts my total as of August first at 10,874 words.

My total word count at this point in time should've been 87,500 which means I'm 76,626 behind.

I've reached a new all-time low. It isn't zero words, but it's close. 189 words. Yes, you read that right. (If anyone is actually reading this.) *sigh*

Well, there was some slight progress in May, so I clocked in at 3,367 words! It's the most words I've written in a month this year, but the sad truth is that my overall word count so far is only 9,167, which is less than the 12,500 I should've written each month. *sigh*

I ended up writing 1,009 words in April. Which is over a thousand words, but hardly anywhere near what I should've written. If this continues then I'll be lucky if I manage 100K this year, much less 150K. *sigh*

That said, I should've written 50,000 words as of May first, but I'm only at 5,798 words. Which means I'm 44,202 words behind schedule.

March was a slight improvement, at least compared to February. As in I wrote about twice as much, not that it was anywhere near what I should've written, but baby steps. Right?
